The Bone and Joint Clinic

The Bone and Joint Clinic, founded in 1948, was the first orthopaedic clinic in Baton Rouge. During these many years
of service to this community, They have provided high-quality care to hundreds of thousands of south Louisiana residents.
Located inside the new Orthopedic Center at 7301 Hennessy Blvd, They employ a staff of over 70 Baton Rouge area residents.

In addition to their 14 physicians, the clinic employs two registered nurses, a licensed practical nurse, three certified orthopaedic technicians, four registered radiological technologists, three certified physician assistants, and numerous medical assistants. They also maintain a staff of insurance specialists as well as Medicare specialists to assist their patients by filing all insurance claim forms for them.

The Clinic is a participating facility in the Medicare program and is a qualified provider for numerous worker compensation carriers and managed care networks. The Clinic requires that all physicians achieve and maintain full board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of medicine that involves the treatment of illnesses and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. They treat people of all ages to correct problems caused by accidents, sports injuries, disabilities, or degenerative diseases such as arthritis. Their physicians perform a complete range of orthopaedic services including the treatment of fractures, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, treatment of hand and foot disorders, total joint replacements, treatment of back and hip disorders, independent medical examinations, disability determinations and pediatric and adult spine surgery.
